Welcome to Vumi. These terms are the agreement between you and Clarigo Infotech Private Limited ("we") for using the Vumi app and website. We've kept them as plain as we can. By creating an account, you agree to them.

1. Who can use Vumi

You need to be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country, if higher). If you're under 18, please use Vumi with a parent or guardian's permission.

2. What Vumi is, and isn't

• Vumi is an AI companion. Its replies are generated with AI services from Anthropic and OpenAI (see the Privacy policy for what's shared and why), so they can sometimes be wrong, out of date, or not what you expected.
• Vumi is not a doctor, therapist, lawyer, financial advisor or emergency service, and nothing Vumi says is professional advice.
• If you're in danger or crisis, contact local emergency services or a helpline (in India: Tele-MANAS 14416; in the US: 988).

3. Your account

Keep your login details safe; you're responsible for activity on your account. You can delete your account at any time in Profile → Account.

4. Your content

What you share with Vumi (messages, photos, voice) stays yours. You give us permission to store and process it only to run Vumi for you, as explained in our Privacy policy.

5. Please don't

• use Vumi to break the law, or to harm, harass or deceive anyone;
• share content you don't have the right to share, or content that sexualises minors;
• try to break, overload, reverse-engineer or misuse the service, or other people's accounts.

We may suspend accounts that do these things.

6. Vumi Plus subscriptions

• Vumi is free to use. Vumi Plus is an optional paid subscription with extra features.
• Unlimited calls, fair use: Vumi Plus calls are unlimited for normal personal use, up to 3 hours a day. After your first 5 hours of calls each month, calls use our standard voice. We may limit use that looks automated or abusive.
• In the app, subscriptions are billed through your Apple App Store or Google Play account, and renew automatically each month or year until you cancel.
• Free trial: if you start a free trial, you won't be charged during it. It turns into a paid subscription at the end unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
• Cancel anytime in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. You keep Plus until the end of the period you've paid for.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
• If prices change, we'll tell you in advance, and the new price applies from your next renewal.

7. Changes to Vumi

We're always improving Vumi, so features may change. If we ever shut Vumi down, we'll give you notice and a way to get your data where reasonably possible.

8. Limits of our responsibility

Vumi is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions you make based on what Vumi says. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer protection law.

9. Changes to these terms

If we update these terms, we'll change the date above and tell you in the app about anything important. Continuing to use Vumi means you accept the new terms.
